I attended this presentation and found it most enlightening. Douglas Hamilton's introduction and description of how much of the infrastructure had been turned into relics in the last 50 years was followed by Mike Brown's startling description of how the virtually derelict Stephenson Works had been turned into an impressive centre celebrating the Robert Stephenson and the company of his name. Alan Clothier then described the sad dispersal of various items of the Robert Stephenson Trust's collection on loosing the tenancy of the building
